The U-37 with J.W. Myers aboard ran away from the field, taking a convincing victory in Heat 3B, setting up the winner take all final.

J.W. Myers replaced Jean Theoret in the cockpit of the U-37 for the Lamb Weston Columbia Cup. Theoret flipped the Schumacher Racing unlimited in Madison, almost drowning in the overturned boat. Myers hustled the U-37 to a fourth place finish in this heat.
