J.W. Myers (USA):

27 years of boat racing experience.
From Outboards to Tunnel Boats and Unlimited Lights to Unlimiteds, he has have raced, crewed, and repaired them all.
10 years of Unlimited Light and Unlimited driving and crew experience.

Team Experience:

U-10 USA Racing Partners
In 2006 J.W. took a job as a crew member and back-up driver with the U-10 Team. After only two races he was switched to the full time driver and crew member for the remainder of the 2006 season. In May of 2007 he was released from the team on mutual terms.
USA Racing hired a new driver as he needed to stay focused on his rapidly expanding construction company.

U-16 Ellstrom Manufacturing

2005 was an interesting season with the E-Lam Team.  As their driver, J.W. scored second place finishes in Evansville and the Detroit Gold Cup and a win in Madison during their undefeated weekend and fastest qualifier.

U-8 / U-8 Race Team

J.W. spent the winter of 2002/2003 working with the U-8 Team re-constructing the former Miss Budweiser T-4 hull to the hull that is currently the U-37 Schumacher Racing hull. As the driver and part time crew member, the 2004 season turned out to be a tough season for the Llumar sponsored team. The team had 7 preliminary heat wins, but no final heat wins due to other complications.

U-100 Leland Unlimited

In 2003 with the help of several influential people in Unlimited Racing, especially Dr. Ken Muscatel and Mark Evans, assisted J.W. in getting recognized by Fred Leland which gave him the opportunity to fill in as the driver for the injured Gregg Hopp.

UL-23 Team Pegasus

For the 3½ years with Team Pegasus, he was not only the driver, but also headed up hull modifications, repairs, assisted with race set-ups, propeller selection and off season maintenance.
